Teaching at Royal Oak
Royal Oak has 62 teachers across the middle and senior school, giving a teacher-to-student ratio of about 1 to 14. Every subject teacher holds a postgraduate degree in the subject and a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification, and senior-school teachers have CISCE examination experience.
Teachers meet weekly by department to plan lessons and moderate marking, and the school funds subject workshops and CISCE orientation each year. New teachers are paired with a mentor for their first year.
Recruitment is open and merit-based. Teaching vacancies are posted on this site and in the regional press, and the school follows a transparent selection process with a demonstration lesson and an interview.
