Policies at a glance
Full policy documents are available from the school office on request.
Child protection and POSH
Royal Oak maintains a Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) committee and a child-protection policy covering staff conduct, reporting lines, and support for students. All staff are briefed each year, and any concern can be raised with the presiding officer in confidence.
Anti-bullying policy
Bullying, including online conduct between students, is treated as a disciplinary matter. The anti-bullying committee investigates reports, informs parents, and records outcomes. Students can report anonymously through mentor teachers or a drop box.
Grievance redressal
Parents and students can raise a grievance with the class teacher, then the headmistress or vice principal, and finally the principal. Written grievances receive a response within seven working days.
Fee policy
Fees are billed in three terms. Due dates and any late-payment charge are printed on each invoice. The one-time admission fee and the registration fee are not refundable. Withdrawal requires one month's written notice.
Transport safety
Buses are GPS-tracked and carry a female attendant on every route. Drivers are verified and speed-limited. Routes cover Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali, and pickup points are reviewed each session.
Inclusion and support
A special educator and a counsellor support students who need it, with reasonable accommodations in class and, where the CISCE permits, in examinations. Parents are involved in any support plan.
Assessment and promotion
Promotion follows continuous assessment across the year plus term examinations. Criteria for each stage are shared with parents at the start of the session, and remedial support is offered before any repeat is considered.
Code of conduct
The code covers attendance, uniform, use of devices, and behaviour on campus and on school transport. It is shared at admission and printed in the school diary.
