Curriculum and assessment

Middle school (Classes VI to VIII)

All students study English, a second language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history and civics, geography, and computer applications. Art, music, physical education, and general knowledge run on the weekly timetable.

Secondary (Classes IX and X)

The ICSE course follows the CISCE group system: Group I subjects are compulsory (English, a second language, and history, civics and geography), Group II offers choices such as mathematics, science, and commercial studies, and Group III adds a practical or applied subject such as computer applications, art, or physical education.

Languages

English is the medium of instruction and the first language. Students take a second language from Class VI, choosing Hindi, Punjabi, or French, and continue it to Class X.

How work is assessed

Each term combines continuous class work, project and laboratory work, and two written examinations. Teachers give written feedback on major pieces of work, and parents follow marks, attendance, and remarks through the online portal. Report cards are issued at the end of each term.

Homework

Homework is set to a published weekly plan so the load stays predictable. Middle school homework is capped at about an hour a day, rising through the secondary and senior years.

Beyond the timetable

Co-curricular life

Four houses

Every student joins one of four houses that compete across sport, debate, quizzing, and the arts through the year.

Sport

Athletics, cricket, football, basketball, and table tennis, with inter-house and inter-school fixtures each term.

Clubs and societies

Model United Nations, a coding club, dramatics, a Punjabi and Hindi literary society, and an eco club run weekly.

Art and music

Timetabled art and music through the middle years, with a choir and an annual production.

Field study

Subject field trips and residential study camps for the senior years, tied to the ICSE and ISC syllabus.

Career guidance

One-to-one counselling from Class X, board-stream mapping, and support for Indian and overseas applications.
